PLAY 60- We are trying very hard to come up with a night that works for everyone for meetings and Play 60. Our next one will be March 9th in the gym from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. Come and join us!
As discussed at the P.T.L. meeting our milk account will not be compensated with State funds for the rest of the school year. This is due to new USDA’s regulations. It was decided that each student that is drinking milk is asked to bring $20.00. This should be enough to finish out the year to buy gallons of milk to serve at lunch.
The next PTL meeting will be Thursday, February 23 @ 5:30 p.m. We will be finalizing plans for the Pork Loin Dinner. Please plan on attending.
Everyone is working hard on their Nebraska projects. They should be done by Wednesday, February 29. Thank you for all your input. There are many interesting places and products in Nebraska.
CHILDREN WILL SING IN CHURCH at the Lenten worship on March 7th. Please meet in the church basement at 6:45 p.m. We will also be serving bars after worship. Please bring 1-2 pans of bars or cookies.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER! The kids want to play outdoors no matter how cold. They need boots, hats, snow pants and mittens!
KIDS AGAINST HUNGER- is our Chapel Project for this school year. We sent a $350.00 check to them as of this writing. We will be going to Omaha on Friday, March 9th to help them package food bags. We will have lunch in Omaha and go to somewhere (it’s in the works) in the afternoon.

To follow the progress of Mrs. Robertson's mother go to http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/margeparrish1 This is a journal written by family members keeping family and friends updated on their loved ones conditions. Write a note (through the Guestbook) while you are there. She’d love to get your support. We received a thank you for the flowers. She misses us all very much.
JOINT CHAPEL will be Wednesday, March 7 at St. Paul, Arlington beginning at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served after Chapel. WE NEED DRIVERS. Zion/St. John will come after lunch to play basketball and/or Dodge Ball.
SCRIP CARDS- Please consider using S.C.R.I.P. for your gas or Wal-Mart purchases. Keeping (1) one card on hand and using it is easy to do and not too confusing.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES will be scheduled March 12 & 13 after school. If you have any special time you would like to come, please let Mrs. Eckert know.
KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Know someone that will begin Kindergarten in the fall of 2012? Let Mrs. Eckert know so we can get a letter to them.
AN AR CONTEST IS STARTING JANUARY 30 AND ENDS MARCH 9. Lutheran Schools across America are reading. Points accumulated will be divided by the number of students in the class. Smaller schools have a better chance if you have avid readers. As of Friday, February 17. Kindergarten has 0.8 points; 1st grade has 2.7 points; 2nd grade has 7.4 points; 3rd grade has 5.3 points and 4th grade has 21.5 points, which makes a total of 37.7 Good job! But we are losing ground!! Our school placing is 74th. Keep reading!!!
