The February L.L.L. meeting will be held at The Office in Hooper on February 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. The congregation is invited and please let Joyce Oerman know by the 6th of February if you wish to attend.

CHOIR PRACTICES through Lent are  February 22nd, 29th, March 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th after worship.  Come and join us! Praise the Lord with song!

A Sunday school teacher is needed for grades 4-8. This position will start in September, 2012. Let Margo Moseman know if you can help in this way.

THRIVENT MEMBERS!  You should have received a letter from Thrivent this last week asking if you wish your Thrivent dollars to keep going to the same organization your dollars are presently going to.  BE SURE YOU SEND THIS NOTICE BACK or your Choice Dollars will stop being sent.

THRIVENT MEMBERS!  If you have family that has a Thrivent policy ask them if they have designated their supplemental fund to some church or school.  If they haven’t, ask them if they would consider Immanuel. If you, yourself haven’t signed up for this you may go to the website www.thrivent.com or call Direct Choice Dollars online now or call 800-THRIVENT (800-847-4836) and state "Thrivent Choice."

CHURCH DIRECTORIES are finished and are for sale at the back of the church.  Each Directory is $10.00.  Please make checks to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

PLEASE HELP US GET THE WORD OUT to your friends and relatives about the Pork Loin Dinner coming up on March 4th. There are flyers that can be hung and also “Save the Date Cards” that can be handed out on the usher’s table. The more we advertise, the more successful our fund raising effort will be. When we raise funds for the school we are helping our church budget.

The Sixth Annual Immanuel Lutheran Church/P.T.L. Pork Loin Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Hooper Auditorium. Serving is from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Silent Auction running from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Cooperation from members of the congregation as well as parents of the school children is needed as in the past. A planning meeting was held on Wednesday morning, January 25. Committee members for 2012are Carolyn Hagerbaumer, Judy Geisler, Sheryl Moll, LaRae Moseman, Margo Moseman, Celeste Wulf and Janelle Wulf. Letters will be mailed soon with more information. If you cannot help, perhaps you would like to make a monetary donation to Immanuel P.T.L. and give it to one of the committee members. Thank you for your cooperation.

Auction items need to be given to Margo Moseman by Sunday, February 26, 2012 in order for the committee to get everything organized.  Thank you.

The Esther Circle will hold their annual Ash Wednesday Soup Supper which will feature a soup bar with six different soups and a variety of delicious desserts.  Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22nd. Come and join us for food and fellowship as begin we begin this Lenten season.  Proceeds from the free-will offering will go to improve the church sign and flower bed.

There are more VCR TAPES in the narthex. Take what you would like. Anything left after this Sunday the 19th will be donated.

Redeemer Lutheran Church Men's Waffle Supper is this Sunday, February 19. Serving is from 5-7 PM at the Hooper Auditorium. A free-will donation will be taken for a meal of waffles, creamed chicken, sausage, and Jell-O. Come and enjoy!

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY RETURNS TO ST. PATRICK'S, FREMONT, NE. There is a free class preview on February 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Delaney Hall. The 13 week class will start February 16, 2012 and will continue each Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. through April 19, 2012. THE WALKING PROGRAM is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 – 10:00 AM at the Immanuel gym. Everyone is welcome. There will be NO WALKING JANUARY 2nd.

Hey K.I.D.S. and Parents: You are doing an awesome job contributing to your K.I.D.S. savings account. Keep up the great work. You may not have stamps in your book every week, so don't forget to check from time to time. Saving K.I.D.S. money will help further the Lord's work! God's blessings!

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND BIBLE CLASS:  The Bible Class meets at 9:00 a.m. in the church basement and all are invited to attend. Sunday school class of Preschool-Kindergarten meet in the room east of the narthex; Grades 1-3 meet in the north classroom on the main floor; and Grades 5-8 in the north room (library) in the basement.
