The annual Pork Loin dinner held at the Hooper Auditorium will be Sunday, March 7th. There is much to do – Please consider helping out. This helps pay for the extras at the school. We need all parents to be part of this. There will be an auction. We need items for the silent auction and some will be by a live auction. People who are donating to the auction should call Margo Moseman at 402-720-3504 or Linda Yeager at 402-654-2431.
6-7-8 grade students will be helping with the children's games at the Pork Loin Dinner. Games begin at 4:00 p.m.
At the Pork Loin Dinner the school will display a Literature Fair. Each child will present a book in some way. Ex: a fair board; an item made from the book. Pick a special book. Ex. Little House in Big Woods. Display different trees; the log cabin inside view; scenes from the story; clothing from the book – more details to follow.
REMINDER- We have added 15 minutes to our school day. Students are now dismissed at 3:45 p.m. Please be prompt on picking up your children. This is the teacher’s only prep time and it cannot be used effectively if we are supervising children. NO HOT LUNCH for Friday, March 12th.
BASKETBALL UNIFORMS NEED TO BE TURNED IN- Please bring them back clean.

NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOL’S WEEK MARCH 8-12 Monday, 8th-Grandparents and Sports Day Perform musical at the Hooper Care Center; AR Lunch; Olympics GRANDPARENTS: Any grandparent is welcome to come Monday, March 8. The musical will be performed at the Hooper Care Center at 10:30. You may come to school first thing in the morning or come straight to the Care Center. A sloppy jo lunch will be at school for everyone and this will be followed by Golden Olympics – some fun events that are multi-generational. Please join us for the whole day or part of the day – whatever works best for you. Tuesday, 9th-Pajama Day Wednesday, 10th -Dress Up Day, Chapel and lunch at St. Paul, West Point. Lunch will be pizza from The Pizza Ranch. P.T.L. will pay for the pizza. Choices are pepperoni and hamburger. If that doesn’t appeal to your child, please pack their lunch. Pizza slice orders have been taken at school. Thursday, 11th -Hero Day Friday, 12th -Backward Day- No hot lunch Kindergarten Roundup KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP will be on Friday, March 12 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. in our school. Letters have been mailed out to members and interested parties, but if you have talked with or know of someone you think may be interested in their children attending Immanuel please contact one of the teachers with names and addresses and a letter will be mailed to them. We have been invited to attend the Soup Dinner sponsored by the P.T. L. of St. Paul, Arlington on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Serving is from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Chili, Chicken Noodle soup and desserts are on the menu. Come and enjoy good food and fellowship.
EVLSA SPELLING BEE CONTESTANTS are 2nd Grade- Anna Ready, Revecca Wulf; 3rd Grade- Lauryn Lee; 4th Grade- Faith Koenig, Eli Lee; 6th Grade- Tyler Ruwe, Payton Smutz; 7th Grade- Chelsea Brown, Stormy Young; 8th Grade- Krisanne Egbers, Samantha Siebler. The Spelling Bee will be held at Zion/St. John, Wisner on Friday, March 19th. Good luck contestants! It is time to turn in your BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION LABELS. Please have them turned in by March 21, 2010. Continue to save after the 21st. This is an ongoing fundraiser. The Board of Parish Education has decided to put the following two days back on the school schedule. We will have school on March 12 and April 1, 2010.
