Out next Lenten Service will be Wednesday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m.  Rev. Mark Weber will be sharing the message, "The Promising Word" based on Luke 23:43.  The Special Offering is designated for Fremont Building Family Boutique LFS.  The Sarah Circle will host a Spaghetti Dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. prior to worship.  Boards and Esther Circle will also meet after worship.

New Bible Class Starting Sunday, April 11th- Meet in the basement of the church at 9:00 am before church.  The message of this study will be "Explaining All the Scary Stuff in Revelation."  This is a 5-session video based study from Lutheran Hour Ministries presented by Rev. Ken Klaus, Lutheran Hour Speaker.

NEEDED:  Old sheets or large pieces of fabric to tear into bandages for an L.W.M.L. servant event, preferably white.  A laundry basket is in the vestibule for your convenience.  Thanks, Marilyn Bohling.
 
Immanuel P.T.L. Pork Loin Dinner.  The big day has arrived! Most of the plans of the 4th annual Immanuel P.T.L. Pork Loin Dinner are in place.  God has blessed us with wonderful weather and with His blessing we will also have a big turnout of people from the community as well as our church family and their friends, neighbors and relatives.  What a blessing to be able to get to know one another better as we work on a big project such as this.  We hope to see all of you this afternoon at the Hooper Auditorium.  (Serving time 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.)  The P.T.L. There will be a silent auction from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Pork Loin Dinner and also a live auction beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Be sure to check out the silent auction and live auction items.  A nice selection of items have been donated not only by our church members but also by businesses and surrounding towns.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help with cleanup after the PTL Pork Loin Dinner. The more people helping the quicker the job will be completed. Thank you!

KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP will be on Friday, March 12 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. in our school.  Letters have been mailed out to members and interested parties, but if you have talked with or know of someone you think may be interested in their children attending Immanuel please contact one of the teachers with names and addresses and a letter will be mailed to them.
 
We have been invited to attend the Soup Dinner sponsored by the P.T. L. of St. Paul, Arlington on Sunday, March 14, 2010.  Serving is from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Chili, Chicken Noodle soup and desserts are on the menu.  Come and enjoy good food and fellowship.
 
The Sarah Circle of Immanuel will host a Spaghetti Supper before the Lenten service on Wednesday, March 17th.  Serving begins at 5:30 p.m.  Proceeds from this free-will offering will go to offset costs of Vacation Bible School.
 
It is time to turn in your BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION LABELS.  Please have them turned in by March 21, 2010.  Continue to save after the 21st.  This is an ongoing fundraiser.

It’s time to order EASTER LILIES again. We will order from HyVee again but this year the promised they will be fresh plants. The lilies are $7.00 each and can be ordered in the back of the church.  Last day to order is March 21st.

PATHFINDER CHORUS presents The Pathfinder’s Unbelievable Backstage Tour on March 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and March 27 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available from Aaron, Landy or Lowell.  See the poster on the narthex bulletin board.

THRIVENT GRANT- We have been notified that we are eligible to receive a phase-out grant from Thrivent Giving Plus Program in the amount of 1,520.00.  In order to be eligible for this grant, we will need to raise 3,040.00 (two for one as always).  This money needs to be raised by June 30, 2010.  The only difference to this is it does not have to be a Thrivent member giving the money.  Any Immanuel member can contribute.  If you decide to donate please make checks out to Immanuel Lutheran School.  Any questions may be directed to LaRae Moseman.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS -  Adult Bible Study is held every Sunday at 9:00 am in the church basement.  Please contact Neil or Shelli Panning at 402-654-3507 if you have any questions.  We hope you can join us in learning about and worshipping our Lord.

Adult Instruction Class - This is for anyone who would like to learn more about LCMS and becoming a member of our church.  These classes are taught by Pastor Meske and held Monday's at 7:30 pm.  If you have questions or would like to join these classes please contact Pastor Meske at 402-654-3563 or you may e-mail him at pastormeske@immanuelhooper.com
 
SUNDAY SCHOOL for 3 year olds through high school is held at 9:00 am.  Sunday School is an important part of your childs spiritual growth.  "and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus."  2 Timothy 3:15
